DIY SHOULDER SPARKLES

I went to Kooza last night, the current Cirque show touring California. Remarkable to say the least. It starts off with a young clown named the Innocent receiving a mysterious package containing a jack-in-the-box toy. The toy springs to life to reveal a moving castle of exotic wonders and hysterical performers.
These shows always leave my stomach in knots! The acrobatics are amazing.
This event gave me the perfect opportunity to wear my new thrifting find, a $4.50, black 80's inspired (yes, shoulder pads and all) long sleeve cotton dress. I'm loving all the body harnesses right now so I thought I would spice it up with my own DIY version. I just took a longer multi strand necklace and sewed it in a few places over the shoulder. I really liked how it turned out. I thought I would be able to go without leggings but alas...no...the wind and rain were a little fierce to allow my al-go somewhat tan (thank you Neutrogena..ha ha) legs to present themselves unshielded. Enjoy!
